I’ve said it a thousand times and I’ll say it again, I really love the Twin Cities blogger community. Last month, the Minneapolis Bloggers Union celebrated their one year anniversary, and threw a little shindig to celebrate. I ran into one of my very favorite bloggers, Crock Pots and Crop Tops, and while waiting for our fashion portraits to be done (that’s right, we’re fancy), she mentioned that her mother-in-law was opening a brand new Thai restaurant with an executive chef formally trained in France. I almost started drooling right then and there, and knew I had to check it out ASAP.
Skip to Friday February 8th, Lucky Street been open for a mere one week exactly, and Zack and I were enjoying what I can honestly say was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. He ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, and I ordered the Green Curry, French Style. We of course did that annoying couple thing where we share each other’s dishes, which is one of the main reasons I got married in the first place (I’m kidding of course, or am I…). We ordered the Lucky Banana for dessert. Now, did we save room for dessert? No, not really. In fact I was busting at the seams, but when it was delivered to the couple across the dinning room and I saw it in all of it's beautiful fried banana-filled glory, what was I supposed to do, NOT devour it? Don't be crazy. This thing tasted even better than it looks, and let’s be real here, it looks damn good. The flavors reminded me of a banana cream pie mixed with a funnel cake garnished with a churro, but honestly much better than all of that. You’re just going to have to order one for yourself to truly understand its flavorful glory. It’s worth the drive.
